What happened to our ‘Economy’, is a question of corrupted ‘intelligence‘ which – in its
anthropocentric hubris – has systematically destroyed its commons, the home & habitat
that gave rise to our species in the first place.
It can only be understood as a mental disease, a socio-psychological malady ‘defying the Gods‘
that caused or created it all (Greek mythology), or resists the great Dharma, the synergy & dynamic
of the ‘Nature of Things’ that ultimately runs everything, the entirety of our Life.
Yes, ‘OUR’ current (World) ‘Economy’ is the epiphany of corruption,
a great misconception of Life itself that finds its ideological genesis
back in ‘biblical’ times
and that has impacted all aspects of our existence since then.
To understand the complexity of this logical fallacy, we have to think analytically, dive deeper
into our way of thinking and look where it all went wrong, where our sensible ‘train of thoughts’
derailed and/or where our sapience got ‘lost in translation‘.
Most common biases & fallacies :
With Language & Logic we alter perception & consciousness.
The first thing to look at is the etymology of the word ‘ECONOMY’,
the meaning and implication behind the term.
The linguistic approach leads us into the pre-biblical times of Western civilization
where Egyptian-Akhenaten, One-God theology and Greek mythology amalgamated
with the Abrahamic monotheism of Moses.
This laid the foundation for an entirely abstract and utterly absurd belief system that is in
complete discordance with the multiplicity & diversity of life and, as such, categorically
contradicts the eco-dynamic reality of our planet.
Obviously, the way we think is based on the collective & historical observations & experiences
that we share across our societies and up & down the generations.
Like everything else in our lives, all of it is founded on the ‘teachings’ of our natural habitat,
the combined ecosystems of this, our great ‘home’ planet.
So is our economic thinking, just an abstract fabrication, constructed in accordance with
and response to the scholastic interaction with our environmental conditions.
But that’s where – now & then – malicious ideas & theories slip thru our collective vigilance,
where misunderstandings & misconceptions sneak into our minds, contaminate our
consciousness and corrupt our common sense.
Sometimes these ideologies & memes behave like a mental virus (C.G. Jung), they infect
the unaware individual, which then infests its social networks with a credo that eventually
spreads throughout a population and its coming generations.
When our species transitioned from hunters & gatherers to farmers & pastoral societies,
ideas of monocultural farming began to change the mindset of our ancestors.
New eco-management concepts emerged, transformed, adjusted & adapted to
the ecological circumstances until some of them evolved and amalgamated
with the strange concepts of appropriation & ownership.
Now, the privatization of all common-wealth & public domain,
with all its divine justifications and ethical sanctioning,
has authorized an impudent & offensive behaviour towards all others,
a disastrous misconception with dire consequences.
This new, social-ecological relationship to our natural environment culminated in the socially
engineered migration or ‘Exodus’ of ‘homeless’, nomadic people to find their ‘Promised Land’.
With the ‘Ten Commandments’ (- 613 in Judaism) a patriarchal warlord society installed
a Linear-Hierarchic-Order-of-Command and established a new monotheistic religion
that combined divine entitlements & stratifications with the ideas of exceptionalism
and extra social authorities;
– all together planting the seed for an anthropocentric monoculture
that brutally discriminates of all ‘Others’,
a chauvinism that brought us not only racism,
fascism & nationalism but also all those other isms
that torment our Mother Earth since.
Then, with our ‘Original Sin’ and consequently our ‘Expulsion from the Garden Eden’
the ‘Terror Management’ of the ‘Chosen Ones’ began.
That’s where the reign of ‘Haves’ over the ‘Have-nots’ introduced a new paradigm, a new kind of
‘Operating System’ that disbanded the social-emotional aspect of our intellect, replaced it with
an artificial, completely corrupted intelligence that is manipulated by anthropocentric hubris
and runs a scheme of exploitation & extraction – ironically called their Economy.
This corrupted paradigm not only unravelled and destroyed the socio-ecological networks
of our Indigenous, more egalitarian societies, but also altered our environmental perception,
restructured our social-emotional orientation and reshaped the way we think.
Now, with our collective sapience gone and our collective mind disregarded,
what happens when our Economy is losing its fight against the Eco-dynamic of our habitat ?
Unless we quit our involuntary participation by looking at all the sophomoric BS from a different
perspective, with a mental attitude that is more in tune with the Eco-dynamic reality of Life,
the mental maelstrom of insanity will continue to take us down into the ‘abyss’ of our own making.
Until we discover the potential of non-linear thinking and realize
that in real Life nothing gets lost or is ever finished,
all things will get uglier & nastier for us !
